CO2-Act
Switzerland ratified the Paris Convention on Climate Change ("Paris Agreement") in October 2017. Together with most industrialised countries, Switzerland has thus committed itself to halving its CO2 emissions compared with 1990 levels.
ESG, supply chain and customs
All goods that are imported, exported or transited into Switzerland must be declared to the customs administration. On the basis of various legal principles, the regulations and conditions at the border crossing of the goods are checked and spot-checked. It is little known that, for example, the Environmental Protection Act, various ordinances such as the Plant Protection Ordinance and the Chemicals Ordinance apply to imports and exports.
