Caroline Gaul advises national and international companies in the area of technology, IT and data law. Her main areas of practice include data protection compliance under the Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) and Swiss law, advising on IT contract law and assisting in contract negotiations, as well as supporting cloud and other outsourcing projects. A particular focus of her work is on the design of data-based, digital business models and platform solutions as well as their ongoing advice.
Caroline has been advising on Swiss law since 2015 and also has many years of professional experience as a German lawyer in a larger commercial law firm in Frankfurt am Main. She acquired in-depth industry knowledge in the IT sector through several in-house secondments at a global software group.
Caroline Gaul is a member of the board of the German Society for Law and Information Technology (DGRI) and on the organising committee of the Swiss IT Lawyers' Day. In addition, Caroline Gaul regularly publishes and speaks on topics in the field of tech, data and digitalisation and provides an overview of current topics in a podcast.
Caroline Gaul is a member of the Frankfurt Bar Association and, pursuant to Art. 28 BGFA, is registered on the public list of nationals of Member States of the EU or EFTA who are permanently permitted to be parties before judicial authorities in Switzerland under their original professional title.
