Dr. Bernhard F. Meyer, a founding partner of MME, has been nominated by the Swiss Confederation to serve on the World Bank's ICSID Panel of Conciliators. In total, the Swiss Confederation has delegated four arbitrators and four conciliators to serve on the ICSID Panel for a period of six years (2021-2027).

The International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (""ICSID""), headquartered in Washington D.C., USA, is a neutral international dispute resolution institution belonging to the World Bank Group. The Centre was established by the international Convention for the Settlement of Investment Disputes between States and Nationals of Other States (ICSID Convention), which entered into force on October 14, 1966, 30 days after ratification by the first 20 states. Today already 155 states are members of the ICSID Convention.

ICSID supports the settlement of cross-border investment disputes by providing procedural rules, premises, a secretariat and administrative services for arbitrations and conciliations. ICSID also maintains a list of potential arbitrators and conciliators, known as the ""Panel,"" to which contracting states to the ICSID Convention may nominate 4 arbitrators and 4 conciliators each. As today's most important institution for investment arbitration and -conciliation, ICSID supports dispute settlement under a great number of bilateral and multilateral investment protection agreements.
