Taxation of the private use of business vehicles
On 1 January 2022, the Federal Department of Finance will bring into force the amendment to the Professional Expenses Ordinance, according to which the private use of a business vehicle can be taxed with a new flat rate that also includes travel costs to the place of work. The Federal Department of Finance is thus fulfilling a motion of the Committee for Transport and Telecommunications that was adopted by the Federal Assembly.
Cross-border insurance activity
The Liechtenstein insurance center grants passporting rights in all EEA states and Switzerland. This makes Lichtenstein attractive to innovative start-ups, which scale-up their businesses by using new technologies and rely on a large distribution market without having to set up and maintain an expensive network of subsidiaries or branches.
