Dr. Tamara Maria Teves* joined MME in 2018. She previously worked in various companies and roles in the financial sector. Among her former employees are a family office, the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) and a Swiss private bank. She advises companies in the technology and financial sectors on regulatory and private law matters and specialises in blockchain/DLT technology. Further, she is active in the areas of sustainable finance and corporate law.

In connection with the implementation of the indirect counter-proposal to the popular initiative "For responsible companies - to protect people and the environment", the board of directors will be held accountable. However, it is crucial and not entirely clear which companies, and as a consequence, boards of directors of which companies, will be affected by future obligations under civil law and, accordingly, which companies will be exempt.
