Your goals

The governance, the organisation and also the risk management of public companies (public governance) has become increasingly significant in recent years. Today's public and semi-public environment demands efficient and effective management structures, as well as politically respected and democratically transparent processes.

Public authorities are increasingly challenged by the rising demand for public services on one hand and scarce public financial resources on the other hand. Solutions to these challenges include joint projects between the state and the private sector called public-private partnerships, or PPPs. Successful PPP projects are characterised by a smart combination of private management principles and careful consideration of the nuances of politics and public administration.

Our services

The MME team supports public companies in all matters relating to public governance (GRC: Governance, Risk management & Compliance). We focus on the development and implementation of state-of-the art governance and supervision structures, as well as on effective reporting in the political environment. We also advise our clients during the critical times of parliamentary decision-making.

MME supports public and private parties involved in PPPs during the planning process and throughout the duration of their project. Our particular field of interest is the prevention and management of conflicts that can arise between public authorities and private industry. MME is skilled in applying a variety of conflict resolution tools and processes as, for example, mediation.

Our clients from the private sector regularly appreciate our support in their negotiations with government entities and the public sector.

Dr. Balz Hoesly is Mediator SBA and offers practical expertise in both politics and private industry.
